So Insurgency is really fucking fun we should play that again. Talk about other games you enjoy in here and maybe if there's enough people interested we can get dedicated threads going and do that shit some time.
No way? Also lol dont tell Chris that he'll go play with his mystery friend and not talk to us for a week.
yessah. I've actually been considering restarting it with a new modpack as many of my flock have become inactive and I need a reason to justify continuing to pay for it
What mod pack were you using/what do you think youll use? Because B-Team is more or less bad ass. Hexxit is tight butthole too
I've run Resonant Rise in the past and it's running TPPI currently. Open to suggestion. My server host is a pretty cool Canadian fella who's even offered to do a server split to run a little 2GB agrarian skies sub-server at no cost also. I'll have to look into the nitty gritty of the B-Team pack.
Ive never even heard of those packs, honestly Id be real open into trying something completely new. Idk if any other COMMIES are interested but id play at the very least.
RR is on ATLauncher. Huge as hell modpack that's also got a spinoff that the Yogscast plays. Gets updated frequently which is a pro and a con -- a bit of a pain in my ass TPPI is a private pack on FTB launcher -- essentially a more challenging version of RR -- deletes a few and adds a few with its own tweaker. It's probably the only worthwhile thing Reddit has ever produced. Pack code is MegaSharkPunch if you wanna look at it. Both 1.6.4 -- I've been trying to hold out for a worthwhile 1.7.2 before making a change but patience is wearing thin
Here's one of the videos Chris made of us playing Insurgency. If this game goes on sale during the steam summer thingy you should probably get it. It's basically a shooter that's not quite as slow and heavy as say ARMA, but still a lot more tactical and holds your hand way less than Call Of Duty. Only iron sights, no crosshairs, for example. Also deaths in this game have an oddly realistic effect when you're playing it.
Speaking of other games, Albion Online finally dropped it's founder packs: https://albiononline.com/?ref=NDEDF52LM2 Anyone here looking into it? It's supposed to be a sort of rebirth of Ultima Online.
Haven't followed Albion much -- but I'm pretty interested in seeing what Mark Jacobs (of Mythic's DAoC fame) can do with his own studio with Camelot Unchained PVP-focused MMO with NO PvE progression (lol get mad raiders), and entire economy is player crafted and driven
This sounds super interesting, especially the ability to play from iOS e; its shit like this that super makes me want to go back to work, but ehhhhhh
Nosgoth is super fun. 4v4 BG/Arena style combat, ranged slow humans vs fast melee vampires. Early access, pay to join but will be F2P, fun as shit.
