so while I'm making tweaks in anticipation of prepping the server... PVP == yay or nay? Game Difficulty == Easy? Normal? Hard? And I'm planning to go all optional mods. COMMIES GO BIG OR COMMIES GO HOME
I've never done minecraft with pvp. Meh. I'm a bitch when it comes to creepers, those fucks spawn on top of my houses all the damn time. I no like hard.
well, one possibility for that is to turn mob griefing off...you'll still take damage but the landscape/buildings are unaffected.
thoughts so far: we'll start with easy mode difficulty with no pvp in the main overworld/nether/end etc because we're scummy casuals. we can consider ramping up difficulty if we so choose down the line. Considering a "pvp arena" Mystcraft age where people can fight each other if they so desire. Thunderdome more like COMMIEDOME. and I definitely like the idea of a nexus...something I've always wanted to do. Mystcraft works great for that too...a void age that you can mold like a ball of clay
no pvp? cmon i want to occasionally be able to stab or shoot someone with my new thing. does the yogs pack have keep inventory or like gravestones or something on?
believe it uses gravestones. We'll definitely have a dedicated pvp area where people can stab/shoot/magic each other, no worries there. No pvp in the overworld just means people won't be accidentally chopping each others' heads off trying to kill wisps and furious zombies and whatnot.
PvP in overworld never works, unless its highly instanced like in one area. Even servers that have rules against ganking dont work.
I edited the server a bit to disable a bunch of the zelda sperg that was clogging the server up. Fairies are now banned and fairy fountains should no longer generate (existing fountains will stay in world, but have no fairies in them) Biggest issue is that there was virtually zero nether creature spawn, this should fix that.
